Biography

As for the pictures themselves, clarity is the great aim: When the quiet hands take hold with all the power that is in them, all that can be said is that the chisel glitters and the plate grows warm with the literal heat of shaping. No one can tear clarity down; it does not twist, balk, hide, or falter. It is not force nor mud-and-straw nor any previous bitterness squeezed out with colored ink but the new sun rising each day to a level noon, the complete, unabashed secure dream definite and lovely glistening on paper, ready for the practiced eye.
